Getting Started with Lukoon: Complete Beginner Guide

Welcome to Lukoon! If you have just created an account, you might be wondering how to get the most out of this platform. From connecting with friends to securing your data, this guide covers everything you need to know to get started.

Pro Tip: Lukoon offers a "Day Mode" and "Night Mode". The screenshots in this guide use the Dark Mode interface for better visibility.

Navigating the Dashboard

Once you log in, you are greeted by the Home Feed. Here is a quick breakdown of the interface:

  • Left Sidebar: Your main navigation. Access Home, Messages, Notifications, Saved posts, and Reels here.
  • Center Feed: This is where posts from people you follow and popular updates appear. You can switch between "Discover Posts" and "Recent Updates".
  • Right Sidebar: See what is Trending (hashtags like #englishspeech or #26thjanuary), Sponsored content, and Latest Blogs.

Setting Up Your Account: Step-by-Step

Before you start posting, it is crucial to set up your profile and security correctly. Follow this checklist:

  • Complete Your Profile

    Go to Settings > Edit Profile. Add a profile picture and fill in your bio so people know who you are. A complete profile attracts more followers.

  • Secure Your Account

    Navigate to Security Settings. We highly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This requires a code from Google Authenticator every time you log in, making it impossible for hackers to access your account even if they have your password.

  • Manage Privacy

    Value your privacy? Go to the Privacy tab. You can decide who sees your birthdate, photos, and location. Change settings from "Everyone" to "Only Me" or "Followers" for sensitive data.

  • Start Engaging

    Click the large purple Create button on the sidebar to share your first post! You can upload images, videos, or share a status update.

Understanding Features

1. Points System

You may notice a "Points" section in your sidebar. Lukoon rewards active users. Engage with posts and create content to increase your points.

2. Trending & Hashtags

Check the "Trending" box on the right. Clicking on a hashtag (e.g., #devikachoudhary) will show you all related posts. This is the best way to find new communities.

Important: If you ever feel unsafe, use the Blocking feature in settings to restrict specific users from interacting with you.
